ZADAR (DISTANCE: DRAGE 35km , VIR 25km)

City of Zadar is about 168 km from Split, the centre of the Zadar County and the wider area of the northern Dalmatia.
It is an ancient city, 3000 years old, first mentioned in the 4th century BC as a settlement of an Ilyrian tribe Liburnians - form of the name Jader is mentioned.
The city is full of historical and cultural sites, such as the famous Roman Forum, St. Donatus, and of the more contemporary sites there is the Sun Salutation and the Sea Organ.

ŠIBENIK (DISTANCE: DRAGE 35km , VIR 100KM)

Šibenik is the main town of the Šibenik - Knin County, about 85km from Split, located in the central part of the Croatian Adriatic shore, in a picturesque, indented bay, at the place where the River Krka flows into the Adriatic Sea.
It is also the oldest town founded by Croatians on the Adriatic. The most famous sight in the town is the Cathedral of St. James, as the most important architectural accomplishment of the 15th and 16th century in Croatia.
Due to its extraordinary value the Cathedral has been added to the UNESCO World Heritage List.

KRKA NATIONAL PARK (DISTANCE: DRAGE 40km , VIR 90KM)

The lakes of this Karst beauty, River Krka, are peaceful and silent while its numerous cascades are blaringly loud and playful.
The beauty and diversity of this river resembles a magnificent orchestral symphony under the direction of the Creator himself. For thousands of years Krka has obstinately hollowed out its path through rock and has created its remarkable waterfalls.
The peculiar travertine cascades of its waterfalls are extremely rare in the world. In the year 1985 its remarkable beauty was recognized and placed under protection proclaiming the 46 kilometres of the Krka River flow which occupy 111 square kilometres a national park.

NATIONAL PARK KORNATI

Kornati islands are the densest archipelago in the Mediterranean Sea situated in the central part of the Adriatic. They are characterised by interesting geomorphology, well-indented coast and various living communities. The archipelago consists of 89 islands, islets and reefs.
Karst, typical for the entire Adriatic coast, is also present here consisting of harsh land on one side and exceptionally diverse submarine environment on the other. Islands are predominantly covered with vegetation of rocky-terrain pastures divided by dry stone walls consisting of grassland communities typical for dry areas. More than three quarters of the Park’s surface belongs to the sea, whose underwater environment, due to its diverse and abundant sea life, is the most prominent feature of this protected area.
The history of settling on the Kornati archipelago reaches far into the history, so from neolith to the present we can follow the development of civilisation in these areas.

VRANSKO LAKE NATURE PARK (DISTANCE: DRAGE 2km , VIR 80KM)

Vransko Lake Nature Park represents a unique wetland area on the Croatian coast. Its vast reed beds and narrow belt of floodplain grasslands spread throughout the ornithological reserve are most valuable in terms of biodiversity, and these areas are also important bird habitats. In addition to the reed beds and floodplain grasslands, a wide range of different habitat types can be found in the park.
